PAUL GOLD
Mr. Gold is a partner in the trial law firm of Aversano & Gold, which specializes in professional malpractice cases, catastrophic injury cases and cases involving business entity wrongdoing.

Mr. Gold graduated from the University of Texas-Austin with high honors and obtained his law degree from Southern Methodist University. He is board certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Personal Injury Trial Law and by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He is AV rated by Martindale Hubbel. He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum.

Mr. Gold was a member of the Texas Supreme Court Advisory Board Subcommittee on Discovery Reform. He also has served as Chairman of the State Bar of Texas Administration of Justice Committee and as Chairman of the State Bar of Texas Litigation Section. He also was a member of the Vol. 2 (Medical Malpractice, Product Liability and Premises Liability) Pattern Jury Charge Committee from 1984 - 1988. He is a Sustaining member of The Amercian Association for Justice. Mr. Gold is a Past President of the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association and is a Director of the Houston Trial Lawyers Association. He is a Director and Sustaining Member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association.

Mr. Gold has been voted a Super Lawyer by his peers every year since the inception of the designation in 2003 (2003-2007). Mr. Gold is the 2007 recipient of the State Bar of Texas Gene Cavin Award for outstanding contributions to continuing legal education in Texas. For over 25 years, Mr. Gold has been a frequent lecturer and author, particularly on topics relating to trial strategy, discovery and evidence, for American Association for Justice, the State Bar of Texas, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, the Texas Judiciary Conference, Lousiana Association for Justice, the South Texas College of Trial Advocacy, and the University of Texas Law School. He has been a Course Director for the State Bar of Texas Advanced Evidence and Discovery Course and for the State Bar of Texas Advanced Medical Malpractice Seminar (2008).

Mr. Gold has handled cases involving medical malpractice, professional negligence, automotive and medical product liability, consumer product liability, workplace/construction safety, toxic torts, air crashes, railroad grade crossing accidents, amusement park safety, truck wrecks, inadequate security, and nursing home negligence. Mr. Gold is most proud of the fact that despite his success as a trial attorney, he has been married to the same woman for over 30 years, and he has two children, who are well-adjusted and happy. Also, as of January 27, 2008, he is the proud first time grandfather of twins.

DONNA AVERSANO
Ms. Aversano is a partner of Aversano & Gold, a trial law firm specializing in medical malpractice and catastrophic personal injury cases.

Ms. Aversano graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in History in 1987. She was a candidate for a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Southwest Texas State University in 1989. She obtained her law degree from The University of Texas School of Law in 1992.

Ms. Aversano was formerly an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Texas. While in that position, Ms. Aversano defended healthcare providers in medical malpractice lawsuits. After leaving her position with the State of Texas, her practice has concentrated in both the prosecution and defense of medical negligence and other types of complex personal injury cases. She has also handled cases involving legal malpractice, professional negligence, product liability, workplace/construction safety, toxic torts, sexual assault, pharmaceutical litigation, automobile and truck wrecks, inadequate security, and nursing home negligence.

While Ms. Aversano has a fulfilling career as an attorney, she is also active in the area of animal rescue and rehabilitation. Ms. Aversano has personally saved the lives of hundreds of stray dogs and cats and has volunteered her legal services in matters regarding animal welfare.
